This flower is really beautiful, when I had my primary school leaving ceremony in 2000, I had a big blue flower bouquet, a lot of different types of blue flowers. One was a blue protea.
In 2008, I saw first time this flower growing in nature in South Africa.

When I was to fly to New Zealand from South Africa, I also bought several flower seeds to bring it to my grandmother.
But in New Zealand, they had strict biological protection for agriculture. So, bringing seeds was forbidden, also my boots had to be super clean, as no earth is allowed to be brought, to avoid bacterial infections.

Nowadays, you can also buy this flower in Copenhagen. But please be aware that it is poisonous. So keep it in a safe place, as dogs, cats, and small kids can show an allergic reaction ...
