English, British English, American English, New Zealand English, South African English, Australian English and a lot more

When you are in Denmark, it is important to pronounce things similarly to the locals.

But if you go to Jylland, the accent is very different, that in Copenhagen.

How is it with the English?

I learned British English first, then American English, then came the New Zealand and Australian English.

And if it would not be enough, then we worked in an international team, so French English, Italian English, Asian English, Indian English, Canadian English, they are all different in some ways.

How is it possible?

It was a language of the colonisers.

English language is used all over the world.

Did Denmark have overseas colonies?

"Danish overseas colonies and Dano-Norwegian colonies (Danish: De danske kolonier) were the colonies that Denmark–Norway (Denmark after 1814) possessed from 1537 until 1953. At its apex, the colonies spanned four continents: Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America." - https://en.wikipedia.org/

"In the 17th century, following territorial losses on the Scandinavian Peninsula, Denmark–Norway began to develop forts with trading posts in West Africa, and colonies in the Caribbean, and the Indian subcontinent. Christian IV first initiated the policy of expanding Denmark–Norway's overseas trade, as part of the mercantilist wave that was sweeping Europe. Denmark–Norway's first colony was established at Tranquebar (Trankebar) on India's southern coast in 1620. Admiral Ove Gjedde led the expedition that established the colony." - https://en.wikipedia.org/

What is my secret?

I just use the Danish language, as I wish...

Why?

When I read CBS books, especially in Psychology, they must be written by people who had a Hungarian education, as they use a special Danish language, which is based on the Austrian-Hungarian education system... they made believe Danish people that it is Danish.

I make my own Danish...

What is the connection to South Africa?

I learned to accept the different accents. I was mentally open to being nice and kind, to be able to understand what people say in different accents in English.

Are you ready to do it in Danish?
